Medieval Town

For this project, my focus was on creating a medieval town environment. I built the houses using modular pieces, and to avoid repetition in the walls, I used vertex paint in Unreal Engine. Blending a type of plaster material with a brick material poking through to give it a more interesting look. I focused on keeping everything low poly and optimized and tried out using trim sheets for most of the textures in this project which worked out well.

Starting with a few different house models made from the modular pieces, I built and decorated the town. To make the environment feel more alive I also added simple wind animations to the foliage and cloth using the node system in Unreal Engine.
